This week your recovery step is to change your body image - rewire the script that you tell yourself about your body.

Most of us - regardless of struggling with an eating disorder, addiction or other self-destructive behavior, spend a lot of time, whether we are conscious about it or not, on judging ourselves and constantly telling ourselves some type of condescending message daily, hourly.

Often times we don't even realize we do, because we've been playing the same self-abusive message on repeat for decades.

We all need to take control of our mind, or it will control us.

People take the cue from you on how to treat you. And guess what? If they can sense you have a lot of negative self-messages going on, in the way you walk, talk etc. they will treat you accordingly.

Trust me, you do not want to train others to treat you as bad as you do yourself, so be aware of whenever you tell yourself something condescending which has no value - i.e. I look fat today, if I don't get that project I am worthless etc. etc. These are all lies we tell ourselves - but what we tell ourselves ultimately becomes our reality - why it's so very important to change your story, if you want to change your life.
